Very Short Catch-Up

February 16th. Well, here's this blank page again, begging to be filled up. Sometimes it would just be easier if the page were full and I could edit but unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

I'm currently in Troy NY visiting my niece and nephew, Corey and Jon and their family.  It's always a wonderful trip when I come.  There is so much going on, the kids are great and the love is even greater. Unconditional love is one of God's greatest gifts and it's very evident here in this home. I thank the Lord everyday that He has included them in our lives.

I arrived on February 16th  at 12:35pm EST.  The house is still fully decorated for Valentine's Day.  Valentine's Day is the favorite day in this house and they celebrate it and decorate for it to the fullest.  It's wonderful.  I was "allowed" to rest up until the following afternoon.  Corey, Sierra, Josh, Jamison (Jamo), Josie and I headed to the train station for the 2 hour trip to NYC.  The kids were fired up and ready to go and we had a great trip.  We checked in at the Affinia Manhattan. The sight of Manhattan from the room windows was amazing; all the lights, noises and looking in the clothing design company across the way and seeing all the beautiful colors and fabrics.  We were on the 14th floor (and yes, this hotel had a 13th floor which we all thought was a little odd, but hey, we were in NYC so our eyebrows didn't raise too high).  We did so much and had such a great time.  We saw Billie Elliott on Broadway, hit Dylan's Candy, Toys R Us, K-Mart (yes, we found a K-Mart!), Ellen's Stardust Diner, chased cabs.  It didn't rain but we could have lost Josie in the wind if Corey hadn't been hanging on.  The only thing missing...Jon, Hunter, Trey, Dylan and Ray.  Next trip.

Sunday, March 6th

I have been back home a week now as of last Friday.  During that time we have completed our move from 6th street due to the helping hands of many by 11:58 am Monday morning.  Since completing the move Ray and I have taken the last week off.  We've lay around, gone to bed early, slept late and just generally done nothing with the exception of grocery shopping. I had lunch with a few friends last week.  It's really great to see everyone but nice to know I can go and do what I want after lunch.  It's been a good week but we're both ready to begin the next project; organizing the garage!  It's going to be fun, because we're going to make it that, but the really great thing is that we have no deadline.  We can work or not work, that's the really great thing.  As soon as the rain stops and spring gets here we'll begin in the yard.

As the saying goes, "I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future", and I'm going to enjoy every ounce of it.
